And Some News from the Sunriver Owner's Association:

Abbot-Beaver intersection work to begin

"Be prepared to see the start of construction and temporary traffic controls going into place for the Abbot Beaver intersection. Starting after Labor Day, construction will occur during two anticipated weather windows.

• Sept. 4 and through Nov. 16, 2018: Abbot Drive circle construction
• April 1 through May 15, 2019: Beaver Drive Circle construction .

The first phase will include constructing the south half of the circle and making roadway improvements along Abbot Drive east of Circle 1. The second phase will include the realignment of Ponderosa Road and construction of the north half of the circle and Abbot Drive. As planned, the Abbot Circle will be completed and fully open in mid-November.
Although both Abbot and Beaver drives are expected to remain open for the duration of the project, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid expected traffic delays. To safely move traffic through the construction zone, a state-of-the-art traffic signal system will temporarily be placed on Abbot Drive – one near Circle 1 and another to the east toward South Century. Abbot Drive will be restricted to a single lane controlled by the signals to allow only one direction of traffic at a time.
For those on Beaver Drive looking to access Abbot, there will be a pedestal signal with directional arrows for left and right turns. A green arrow will display for the direction of traffic flow on Abbot at that time, and a red arrow in the direction that is not allowed."
For updated info, visit: www.abbotbeavercircle.com .

Road Work: Beginning July 9, 2018, work will start on the full replacement of the pathway tunnel on West Cascade Road just west of Circle 4. Dependent on weather, construction should be finished by the end of July/early August. West Cascade Road will be closed just beyond the entry driveway for the Ranch Cabins and east of Lake Road. Cabin owners will still have access off Circle 4 but anyone living along West Cascade Road between Circles 4 and 5 will need to access their residence via Abbot Drive and Circle 5 to reach West Cascade Road. Signage noting the closure will be placed at affected lanes along West Cascade. Foot/bicycle traffic will be rerouted to nearby pathways.

Please Note: ALL FIREWORKS are prohibited in Sunriver. This includes fireworks known as "safe and sane" such as poppers/snaps, sparklers, smoke bombs, snakes, fountains, and others.

Spring into Sunriver 2018

Spring is one of my favorite times to visit Sunriver. The air is cool and refreshing and there are fewer visitors, so it often feels like you have the great outdoors all to yourself.

(NOTE: The indoor pool will be closed for annual maintenance May 6 - 18, 2018). The outdoor pool will be open during that time).
