Summer Season is Upon Us!

Summer in Sunriver is here!

There are so many fun options for activities, it's hard to decide what to do.

Some of our favorite activities when we visit Sunriver are biking and hiking (and sitting and sipping). Each summer we try to get to at least one Bend Elk's Baseball game, and one summer we learned all about geocaching (there are several geocaches in Sunriver).

Other fun options include:

The High Desert MuseumCheck out the museum website for upcoming events. Closer to home, the Sunriver Nature Center also has fun, educational activities. You can find their event schedule hereEven Mt. Bachelor has events and activities during the summer. Check it out hereAnd, Sunriver Resort's Fort Funigan has fun activities planned year round. Here is a current sampling from their website:

Family Activites (Starting Memorial Day weekend)

GLOW BALL PUTTING
9:00PM-10:30PM | $12 PER PERSON
Join us after dark as we keep the party “glowing” with one of our most popular programs. Using flashing golf balls and neon holes, try your luck on our 9-hole putting course. Show up after-dusk with the whole family for the best effect. We accept walkup players until 10:15. Meet us at the 9-hole putting course behind the Lodge. Please note, day-time use of putting course is separate from the fee of this program.
S’MORES UNDER THE STARS
9:00PM-10:30PM | $5 INCLUDES FOUR S’MORES AND STARGAZING
Join us for our favorite evening treat as we gather around the fire pit. Our staff will bring all the s’mores supplies, along with candy for creative s’more combinations. We will be roasting marshmallows to golden perfection while looking at the stars above (with the help of our friends at the Sunriver Observatory).
QUIDDITCH 101 FOR MUGGLES
3:00PM-4:00PM 7-12 YEARS OLD & 4:00PM-5:00PM 13-17 YEARS OLD | $20 PER CHILD
Enter the world of everyone’s favorite wizard for a real life game of Quidditch. Play in teams of 8 in 1 of the 4 positions in Quidditch: Chaser, Beater, Keeper, or the Seeker. Make sure to keep an eye out for the golden snitch (one participant dressed up in yellow) running around the pitch (Besson Commons). The seeker that catches the golden snitch wins their team 30 points and ends the game! Multiple games of Quidditch will be played during each age group to allow for everyone to play the various positions.

For more fun ideas, visit the Sunriver Resort Website or the Central Oregon Visitor's Association website.
