Holiday Traditions in Sunriver

One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is enjoying family time in Sunriver. There are so many events to choose from, including the "Traditions" programs at the Resort, special activities in the Sunriver Village, and activities at SHARC (including the year-round tubing hill!). Here is a link to the Owners' Association's event listing:

We do still have availability for a portion of winter break. Please get in touch if you'd like to book some time in our Sunriver home with your family!

SHARC!

The much anticipated SHARC facility had its grand opening Memorial Day weekend, 2012.  I have to say that it surpassed all of our expectations (and our expectations were high!).  The pool facilities are fabulous, the rock walls out front are fun, the new picnic areas are convenient, and the year-round sledding hill was a blast! The outdoor pool even has an adult-only hot tub area! Follow the SHARC links at the right to learn more.  As a reminder, our home comes with complimentary guest passes to the SHARC facility for up to six guests.  Have fun!!

Helpful Pool Info: During high-use times (i.e. school holidays) during the non-summer months  when only the indoor pool is open (i.e. Winter Break, MLK weekend, Spring Break), SHARC uses a "sessions" approach to pool access. Click here to get the current info about session times and access procedures.  The guest passes that come with our home will allow you to access the pool for multiple sessions per day, but as noted in the link above, you will have to exit the pool, and show your existing bracelet to get re-ticketed and re-enter the pool for subsequent sessions.

Helpful Sledding Hill Info: Don't go straight to the sledding hill...Sledding hill passes are obtained by going into the SHARC pool building/facility and showing your guest passes. Once you get your sledding hill ticket secured to your coat, you can proceed to the base of the sledding hill, get in line for a sledding hill tube and have fun!  NOTE: The last time we were in Sunriver, there was also a fair amount of informal sledding going on down the mild slopes surrounding the picnic area that's near the official sledding hill. It was a crazy zig zag of sledders, but fun! (NOTE: You do need your own slider or disc or piece of plastic if you choose this route instead of the official hill!)
